Meow! We are 7 previously homeless cats who now enjoy being loved in a safe and fun environment. This year’s Team Vegan Cat is led Noel Furry, (named after Noel Furie, one of the co-founders of Bloodroot Vegetarian Restaurant in Bridgeport, CT) who was abandoned at least twice. As a stray, she was fed by a neighbor who then abandoned her. After being caught in a Havahart trap, she purred before she even got out of it. Ever since then, she has been very grateful to finally have a forever home and so ready to forgive humans for her initial mistreatment. Here she is demonstrating that she thinks chickens should be loved rather than used and abused for food.

When Mom told us about how other animals suffer on factory farms and how, like us, these other animals have likes and dislikes, needs and wants, and just wish to be able to live out their natural lives in peace, we decided the least we could do was to go vegan! If we’d had any doubts, when she also told us what goes into commercial meat-based cat food, we were sure we’d made the right decision! Lately, she has been going on about how chickens account for the vast majority of farmed animals who suffer and die to become food, so please, if you’re just getting started, please stop eating chickens first! We love our meals made with VegeCat Mix and VegeYeast, and our vegan kibble from Evolution and Ami Cat, all from Vegan Essentials. We also love broccoli!

Please help reduce the suffering of our brother and sister species. Thanks so much for helping Team Vegan spread the word!
